If your appliance is in your garage, please plan to be onsite when the driver calls you 15-45 minutes prior to pickup. If you do not plan to be onsite at the time of pickup, please leave a note on the appliance that says, "I allow the Xcel Energy Refrigerator Recycling team to remove this appliance."

Program qualifications:
- Be an Xcel Energy residential electric customer living in Colorado
- Natural-gas-only residential customers are not eligible
- Be the owner of the refrigerator or freezer being recycled
Unit requirements for rebate:
- Recycle no more than four working units per household, per program year
- Have an appliance that has a storage capacity of 10 an 30 cubic feet
- Mini-Fridges typically do not meet this capacity requirement to be eligible for rebate.
- Appliance must be in working order.
- Refrigerators and freezers must have been manufactured in 2021 or earlier.
Please ensure there is a clear path to the appliance.
- Ensure the appliance is functional.
- Ensure your appliance is empty and free of mold
- Dehumidifier and room AC units can be taken if a driver is scheduled to pick up a refrigerator or freezer. Please note: There are no rebate incentives for window/room AC units.
- We reserve the right to decline pickup for any appliance whose removal will put our team, the customer or the home at risk.
- You will receive an email the day of your pickup to live track your driver.
